Ages 18 months- 5 years

Clubhouse for Kids, Cadet Classroom is an independent, private daycare with limited enrollment. Our classroom consists of children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Enhanced learning and social development are taught in our multi-aged setting. The younger children have an opportunity to watch and learn from their older classmates. The older children learn the skills they need to be successful in Kindergarten and serve as peer tutors to the younger children. They develop great social and leadership skills in this environment. Our curriculum is based on procedures which appear most consistent with the current principles of early childhood growth and development as accepted by the majority of educational and child psychology specialists. Our classroom has a portion of the Montessori curriculum because we feel strongly about the benefits of a multi-aged learning environment. The foundation of the curriculum offers a variety of activities to help each child grow with a positive self-esteem and understanding of self through healthy social interaction with other children. It is our desire that each child grow with an understanding, knowledge and great appreciation of the world we live in.

We have changing themes and topics related to the child’s everyday life. We keep parents informed to these topics and ways in which they can participate at school and at home.

Our curriculum offers activities in practical life, sensory manipulative, math factors, language centers, science and social studies and art. Please make sure children are dressed with an understanding that they will be working with paint, water, cooking ingredients, play dough etc.

It is important to us that each child fully benefits from all of our activities.   Therefore it is important that your child arrive on time everyday.
